Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Volleyball Coach to join our athletic department. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for volleyball, a commitment to athlete development, and the ability to support the head coach in leading a competitive volleyball program.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the head coach in planning and conducting practice sessions and games.

• Help develop and implement strategies and game plans.

• Provide individualized coaching and mentorship to student-athletes to enhance skills and performance.

• Assist in the recruitment of prospective student-athletes.

• Ensure adherence to safety and sportsmanship standards during all practices and competitions.

• Monitor the academic performance of student-athletes and support their educational development.

• Coordinate logistics, including travel, equipment, and scheduling, in conjunction with the head coach and athletic department.

• Foster a positive, inclusive, and competitive team environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience coaching volleyball at the high school, club, or college level.

• Strong knowledge of the rules, strategies, and techniques of volleyball.

• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

• Ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes.

• Commitment to fostering a supportive and educational athletic environment.

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
